The Texas coast and its beaches are God-given treasures to be used and enjoyed by all Texans and those who visit our wonderful state. More than anything else, Constitutional Amendment No. 9 is about the common good. Remember that quaint old notion? If the amendment passes so many, many Texans will win – businesses, folks who fish, birders, surfers, families with hoards of kids on boogie boards, sailors, those who need cheap, virtually free recreation when times are tough, anyone who’s ever picked up a seashell, felt the sand between their toes or watched a sunset reflect off the waves. Everyone.
Only rarely do voters get a chance to vote on something that will secure a positive good for generations to come. This is one of those votes. Vote for Texas Constitutional Amendment No. 9 on November 3.
