Whenever I go surfing I am always worried about stashing my keys in a spot that is hard to find. I use to place my keys under my side rail. This worked, but never gave me much piece of mind. As break-ins are common in my part of the country I started to look for a more secure method of hiding my keys. Fortunately I stumbled upon HitchSafe (Hitch Safe). The HitchSafe web site promised a product that was easy to use, easy to install, and secure. I decided to get my hands on one.
Friday my HitchSafe was delivered to my house. I quickly unpacked it and glanced at the three-step installation directions printed on the bottom of the packaging. At first I didn’t believe that the safe would install as easily as advertised, but to my delight, in under 5 minutes the hitch safe was installed and ready to use. In fact, the hardest part of the installation was getting it out of the plastic packaging! The only tool I needed was a small screwdriver that allowed me to change the default factory 4-digit code. This was a simple process, you simply turn a screw, set the new code, and return the screw back to its original position.
The safe works by setting a 4-digit combination code. The code opens a drawer that houses your keys. The drawer is large enough for keys, credit cards, drivers license and change. Slide the secure drawer back into the housing, scramble the dials, place the rubber dust cover back on and go surf! I highly recommend buying a Hitchsafe (Hitch Safe) for the surfer in your family. Heck…the HitchSafe would make an excellent gift idea for any outdoor enthusiast!
