MDC News
Photographer Jon Steel called me afte the cove broke last week to ask about one of my riders. I expected it to be Justin, Zach, or Morgan, but to my surprise, he wanted to shoot a portrait of Cody. You might remember Cody, he lost his leg last year and we had a fundraiser for him to get an artifical leg so he could get back to work. We set the shoot up that afternoon. Jon is a pro all the ay and made Cody feel very comfortable. Here are some shots I took while they worked. It was an amazing shoot. Jon is out latest R.P.Q. rider. We're stoked!!

MDC Sponsored rider Zach May takes 2nd place in Masters at Surfing America's Nationals held at Hungtington Beach Pier Aug 19-24, 2008. Contest was held in waist high surf with peaky conditons due to a combo swell. Zach rode his R.P.Q. during the contest and advanced despite and interference call in the semi's. Great showing of what a good surfer and new technology like the R.P.Q. can accomplish!! Congrats Zach!! Here's a shot of Zach , the trophy and the R.P.Q. he won it on. Enjoy!

MDC Sponsored rider Justin Jalufka putting MDC glass jobs to the ultimate test. We passed with flying colors.
MDC and John Olvery Art have teamed up once again to create 2 more beautiful art pieces. Glassing and polishing these works is a very meticulous, nerve racking process, but when the artist and shaper/glasser come together the results can be truly amazing. The first shot is the very first one we did, the second is the one built for the SPI Surfrider Chapter and will be raffled off. The third shot is not an MDC shape, however it was finished out by MDC. MDC will now be carrying prints by John Olvey. We'll post as soon as they come in. Enjoy!

MDC and Wind and Wave both had a fun day particpating in the Huck Jam along with Fox television. The tour had massive rules as does Concrete ST Ampitheater who tried to bust Frank for having fruit in his icechest. Gimme a break!!!!
Justin Jalufka signs posters for a line that went accross the entire pavillion.

Come by and say hello!! We will be teamed up with Wind and Wave and Fox Televison inside next to the pavillion as you enter the park. Check out this new fishing technology. This particular design combines the technology of stnd up paddle and kayak to bring back bay fishing to a higher level. You can now stand up and fish, see the water better and even get up on the console for a deeperr view of what is going on in the water around you. The console can be used for either an ice chest or a battery for an electric trolling motor, plus a slide out tackle box and lots of area to walk on. right on!! FISH ERECT!!
RPQ madness going on right now at the shop. We just returned from a surf trip to Mexico and the locals just loved Zach's. He was such a standout in the line up, the locals just had to know what was up with the Rocket Propelled Quad. Check these 2 particular models: The RPQ LB and the RPQ 6.0 high performance
