I have three iPods and the ear buds that ship with them are about as comfortable as a pair of sandpaper underwear. Fortunately, COOSH came to the rescue with some great fitting, wrap-around styled earphones that fit comfortably, sound great, and stay on during physical activity.
Coosh earphones are made with premium silicone “earrings” that are incredibly light weight and feel great. They gently wrap around your ear keeping the ear buds in place, even during intense activity. Skateboarding, snowboarding, jogging…no worries, the Coosh earphones will stay on.Â
If you find that you don’t like the wrap around “earrings,” you can always take them off and where the ear buds in the more traditional style. I also like the high capacity clip that keeps the mic and cord firmly in place. The mic is small enough that the user will hardly notice that it is there and includes a mute button. You can quickly switch between your music and cell phone calls with the push of a button.Â
Enough about the design! How do they sound?Â
I was surprised at the well-balanced, full-bodied sound that the Coosh earphones delivered. My first trial was using an iPod nano during a five-mile jog. The earphones provided an ear-pleasing bass and a sound quality comparable to the iPod’s original ear buds. Oh…and the comfort level was far, far superior than my iPod’s ear buds. All-in-all, I was happy with the sound especially at the wallet pleasing price of under $25.00. The COOSH earphones are a bargain.
I made sure to keep the hockey puck -sized case that the Coosh earphones shipped in.  The case makes for a great storage container and is large enough to store both an iPod Nano and the earphones. I haven’t tried it yet, but the case appears to be the perfect size for a bar of Sex Wax surf wax.
Coosh makes earphones for iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, and other MP3 devices and music phones.
